How to be an engaging public speaker

Many people dream of making speeches as exciting as those of Barack Obama or Steeve Jobs. Often you take inspiration from it in your own life: To  persuade people  to buy your products, to  inspire your children in order to educate them or like you young people during the climate marchs inspiring the world to change.  As you can see everybody  often needs to speak publicly with an enough inspiring speech during his/her life and  the good thing is that everyone can do it, even more easily by following these 5 tips:

1°  Your introduction and conclusion need to be strong, relevant and impressive:

According to Harvard University, the public is able to make a first impression after only ...7 seconds. You now understand that it is crucial that your speech be engaging and interesting from the very first seconds. How to improve that?

2°  Study your topic:

It may seem simple to speak in front of an audience, but it actually requires a lot of preparation. I was still recently watching a French talkshow where' we actually learned that French President Charles de Gaulle was carefully preparing his speeches... Even those that were improvised.  I will explain how I prepare my speeches in my life I had to do a lot of business presentations in English but I don't speak well I used to register 30 times to improve my pronunciation and remember the key ideas of my speech. In the end I was able to deliver a speech almost as effective as if I had been a native speaker. it's also a good thing for lower your stress and avoid stress gestures like a moonwallk in a first real presentation-true story-

3°  Know your audience:

It will be always better if you know audience before writing the speech because it will help you to communicate with their emotions and to deal This way, you can talk directly to them about their interests, objectives or needs.

4°  How to use the anaphora effectively:

As public speaker is a good idea to  the anaphora is a very powerful rhetorical figure, it is especially powerful when you want to focus on the subject of an action. But you have to be careful not to fall into excess because otherwise it becomes counterproductive: Beyond 3 your speech can sound theatrical or bombastic. Here at the end of the article you can find a famous part of Ronald Reegan's 1981 inaugural speech where he actually used 4 anaphoras but he was a pretty exceptional speaker and it is better to stop at 3 for a first time.

5° Be direct and touch listeners throughout Your Speech

In  a speech is always better using active way to make sentences like ' I have an solution ' than the solution is" because it you personnalize but the best way is using sentences like "Yes we can " or "you are..." to do participate actively your audience. In addition, asking question is also a good approach.

So I  hope you found these greatful . Please let me know if my advices is right for you. If you have any  suggestions let me a message and don't forget: 'Flourish Your Freedom' !
